Patricia Miller

Miller graduated from SUNY Albany in 1976 with her M.A. Miller states: “My drawings and paintings are concerned with traditional still life subject matter. Through carefully observing a simple object and appreciating the surprises therein, I have become more open to all of the visual excitement in the world around me. I am fascinated that it is possible to re-investigate objects that have been presented centuries before and that through my personal observation the same objects can take on contemporary qualities. I am interested in the way these inanimate objects subtly reflect my emotions and how the intuitive choices that I make reveal what is taking place in my life at the time.”
